Toreth Rek-cho is an astronomer, and spends most of her time in an observatory she built, in the Sahyādri Mountains, India. (She is the eldest child of Antun Rekaya, Inajda’s brother and is Alexand and Heyem Merek’s first cousin.) CLICK HERE for next chronological story.

cheryl this is one your best yet and it calls for a longer piece, it really does beg for completion. You have me on the edge of my seat and you cannot just drop us all here. 8) Please show us your mettle and finish this one. It would be just wonderful for you and for us to find out at least for one episode what “happens…” GREAT writing!

  Hi Pam, thanks for reading, I’m glad you liked it so much! Heyem Merek Part three, which will be released next week, is part of this story, (although will be told from her perspective rather than Toreth’s.) This will be an ongoing story, although in my rather infuriating style I’m mixing it up with a few other stories along the way, but since you’re enjoying this so much it’s encouraging me to try to write a conclusion… Thank you I appreciate your opinion and take note.     Hmmm, yes, “infuriating” can be a polite way of saying it, Cheryl!!!!! 8) but it is certainly unique. I hope you one day get that publishing contract because then you will have to prove that you can and will come to a conclusion and round off some of these unbound boxes and stories!!!!! Tee hee. But for now, I’ll take infuriating and keep reading. Still, I really would LOVE to know what happened here…THanks. Write on, as we used to say in my day. Good job.

  Hi Richard, yes I’m glad you picked up on that. Toreth was partly responsible for raising Alexand and Heyem, (as their mother Inajda was away for large chunks of their childhood,) so Alex looks up to her.

(Set in 4041, the first book begins on Christmas Island, Japan.) Alexand Merek is a woman who treasures "Bad Things," and delights in music. She has done something stupid, placing those she loves in danger. Women like her are not welcome in the ordinary world, where women who play piano and dance with wives are placed into, "The Bad Thing Box."
