About The Characters
The blurb for Unbound Boxes Limping Gods
(Set in 4041, the first book begins on Christmas Island, Japan.) Alexand Merek is a woman who treasures "Bad Things," and delights in music. She has done something stupid, placing those she loves in danger. Women like her are not welcome in the ordinary world, where women who play piano and dance with wives are placed into, "The Bad Thing Box." Alexand must fight to bring her lost family back together to save them from an unimaginable fate. (If you would like to see this book published, please press the follow button. The writer gives life to a story, but the reader keeps it alive.)This is for you Dad.
My stories and my world are dedicated to you, Dad. You died before I was old enough to know who you were. I will try to find you in my stories, to go to places far away from this world, to search for you. Maybe one day I'll know you again. Until then I'll keep writing. I'll never forget you. Really nice! Of course Juba is lovely, but I have to say I was really drawn to the wood in the background. The angles and repetition are fantastic!
Thanks, Micah, I’m glad you like it (and Juba)
I love the idea of a floating asylum, do you have any illustrations of it?
Hi Dom, thank you, yes there are loads of illustrations for The Floating Asylum, the best way to see them is to go to the first Floating Asylum story at this link. http://wp.me/pXe9M-bC which takes you to the first of four issues, based on what happens to Juba (And Alexand Merek) inside this rather nasty place! The other three Floating Asylum issues are linked at the top of the intro on that first story. There’s also a link to the illustrations on flickr at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/unboundboxeslimpinggods/5848743876/in/set-72157626592789427 which takes you through the whole floating asylum batch of drawings. Glad you like this issue! *Happy dancing*
cherylmoore, I like this, and Juba’s page, and love your wonderful drawings.
