After being taken from Katherine De Somme’s laboratory sickbay, Ichitumbu Jalhavi wakes in an unfamiliar place. He can feel the ground moving. He’s alone inside somewhere that echoes and creaks. About the Characters
The blurb for Unbound Boxes Limping Gods
(Set in 4041, the first book begins on Christmas Island, Japan.) Alexand Merek is a woman who treasures "Bad Things," and delights in music. She has done something stupid, placing those she loves in danger. Women like her are not welcome in the ordinary world, where women who play piano and dance with wives are placed into, "The Bad Thing Box." Alexand must fight to bring her lost family back together to save them from an unimaginable fate. (If you would like to see this book published, please press the follow button. The writer gives life to a story, but the reader keeps it alive.)This is for you Dad.
My stories and my world are dedicated to you, Dad. You died before I was old enough to know who you were. I will try to find you in my stories, to go to places far away from this world, to search for you. Maybe one day I'll know you again. Until then I'll keep writing. I'll never forget you. You are very welcome to leave comments. I would love to hear what you think of the stories and characters. Your constructive criticism is very much appreciated and very rarely put in my spam box! Thank you for reading. Cheryl

I love that you have illustrations for all your posts. That’s a lot of work!
Thank you, yes, but I love drawing them. Wish I had a clone though! lol
The artwork is so beautiful – I’m envious.
Why are you envious? Your work is dynamic and colourful. You capture movement and scene in a way I can only dream of. But we’re never satisfied with our own work. (Which is a good thing really, as it makes both of us want to produce more and more and more…) Writer / illustrators are few, and I’m pleased to call you a friend, Chantal.
Great writing, and I love the artwork. It’s nice to see renderings of people from different angles, not just standing eye to eye with everyone. Nicely done.
Thanks Erik! I’m glad you like them. Your sketches are fantastic BTW!! Very detailed and technically brilliant. I especially loved the sketches of the tree houses.
Thanks, Cheryl! I’m just now getting caught-up on your story, really nice writing!
Thank you
I hope you enjoy them!
