Rachel is no damsel, but sometimes people need help. She has survived an abusive marriage, divorced her husband, and is trying to rebuild her life and her sense of self worth. However, Donald isn’t the most reasonable of wife beaters. He didn’t bargain on meeting The Guild Master’s General, the night he tried to claim back his wife. A dubious Knight in dark sunglasses and a balaclava, intercepted Donald’s plans. CLICK HERE for next chronological story.

What is this?
Unbound Boxes Limping Gods is the first in a series of speculative fiction manuscripts, for which I'm seeking publication. These short stories feature some of the characters in a time set before the novels. So many stories! Where do I begin?
Go to the Story timelines tab at the top, and you can read all the stories in order of time. You'll find them gradually connecting together.Follow me on twitter

About The Characters
The blurb for Unbound Boxes Limping Gods
(Set in 4041, the first book begins on Christmas Island, Japan.) Alexand Merek is a woman who treasures "Bad Things," and delights in music. She has done something stupid, placing those she loves in danger. Women like her are not welcome in the ordinary world, where women who play piano and dance with wives are placed into, "The Bad Thing Box." Alexand must fight to bring her lost family back together to save them from an unimaginable fate. (If you would like to see this book published, please press the follow button. The writer gives life to a story, but the reader keeps it alive.)This is for you Dad.
My stories and my world are dedicated to you, Dad. You died before I was old enough to know who you were. I will try to find you in my stories, to go to places far away from this world, to search for you. Maybe one day I'll know you again. Until then I'll keep writing. I'll never forget you. Guess he could make a fluffy bunny! Ha ha.
He forgot to mention he’d dress it up in doll’s clothes and put a pink bow around it’s head. Good thing Donald’s a fast runner…
I like this! Funny but well written at the same time

Hi Naomi, thank you, I’m glad it was funny, as this is the first time I’ve let the reader know about this character’s humorous side! I’ve had a look at your website and it looks like a fantastic way of connecting with other writers and sharing stories. I’m interested in writing a short story for it some time in the future. At the moment I’m concentrating on a Steampunk story for a magazine, but once that’s written, I’ll keep your site in mind. Other writers may be interested if they happen to get as far as these comments!
It’s good to meet you, Naomi and thank you.

Frogs? Bunnies? Feeling jumpy? A curious interaction.
Yes, The Guild Master’s General doesn’t get out much in society. He’s a bit challenged when it comes to interacting appropriately. Bless him… enough said about him though….
Thanks for following me on Twitter. Wow, I love these illustrations and snippets of micro-fiction! Wry sense of humour too.
Thank you!! I’ve just read your blog and subscribed. It’s good to meet you. I especially liked the quote on your About me page (I’m nosey and was trying to find your name)
“I have not become mellower with age – my thresholds have increased.” Welcome, EeLeen!
Hahah thanks! Nice to meet you too.
