After the murder of her father, and the disappearance of her brother and sister, Ancille Merevija must rebuild her life, with her mother, Alexand. Alexand was on a military mission and returned to find two of her children stolen, her husband murdered and Ancille left for dead. Ancille was badly injured and lost her hearing. When Ancille was strong enough, Alexand took her daughter to her sister, Heyem’s house, to hide from whoever destroyed their family. CLICK HERE for next chronological story.

About the Characters
The blurb for Unbound Boxes Limping Gods
(Set in 4041, the first book begins on Christmas Island, Japan.) Alexand Merek is a woman who treasures "Bad Things," and delights in music. She has done something stupid, placing those she loves in danger. Women like her are not welcome in the ordinary world, where women who play piano and dance with wives are placed into, "The Bad Thing Box." Alexand must fight to bring her lost family back together to save them from an unimaginable fate. (If you would like to see this book published, please press the follow button. The writer gives life to a story, but the reader keeps it alive.)This is for you Dad.
My stories and my world are dedicated to you, Dad. You died before I was old enough to know who you were. I will try to find you in my stories, to go to places far away from this world, to search for you. Maybe one day I'll know you again. Until then I'll keep writing. I'll never forget you. I’ve certainly been remiss in not telling you what an inspiring project this is. You’ve put together a vision and a group of characters that is vibrant and extensive. Few writers today can pull off this kind of scope. I tip my hat and pray you find success in the coming days.

Thank you, Mickey, that means a lot to me.
I love the way you capture the bond between parent and child so precisely, even when that bond is flawed in some way. I’ve avoided that in my stories because it is hard to portray properly without the risk of straying into melodrama or over-romanticising it. I rarely include children in my stories interacting with their parents, because I don’t feel that I can do it justice. You can, though, and you do.
Thanks, Chantal, I’m glad it works. Ancille and Alexand’s relationship is one of the closest in the books, because they’ve been through so much together. This story means a lot to me and I’m really pleased I did it the justice I hoped for before I wrote it (and drew it). Sometimes the artwork doesn’t come out quite how I’d liked, but this one did. It translates to the reader, what I see in my head.
Beautiful passage. The drawing really captures it …oh okay….and me!!
